We have been growing rice at Wild Folk Farm for 4 years in paddies in central Maine. We grow with human power, on a multi-acre rice paddy ecosystem where we test different methodologies, trial seeds, and integrate different plants and animals into our paddies. In 2016, through SARE, we are testing the viability of directly sown rice, human powered field equipment from Southeast Asia.
